Super King Ottoman Beds

A super king ottoman bed measures 180 x 200cm (6ft x 6ft6) - the largest standard UK size - with the full footprint of the bed available as gas-lift storage underneath. Each frame is handmade to order in our Yorkshire workshop and upholstered by hand in Plush, Naple or Conniston fabric, with no visible stitching anywhere on the bed upholstery.

Super king adds £139.99 to the single-size price of any frame in our range - the largest uplift of the five sizes, because it uses the most material. Our super king ottoman beds start at £409.98. A king costs £50 less at £359.98 upward, which is worth weighing if your room is borderline.

Do you have room for a super king?

This is the honest question to settle first. A super king needs 180cm of clear wall, and with 60cm walkways on both sides you are looking at a room around 3.4 x 3.7m. In a room under 3m wide, a super king will physically fit but the bedroom stops working - you lose the space to open wardrobe doors and walk past the bed comfortably. A king at 150cm is usually the better call in that situation.

Why couples choose it

On a super king each of two sleepers gets 90cm of width - exactly a single bed each, and 22.5cm more than a standard double gives you. If one of you is a restless sleeper, or you share the bed with children or a dog at weekends, this is the size where that stops being a compromise.

Storage capacity

Super king gives the largest ottoman cavity we make. Because there are no drawer dividers, the space takes long awkward items whole - suitcases upright, spare duvets, seasonal bedding - which is where an ottoman beats a divan with four drawers of the same total volume.

Fabric choices

Available in Plush (soft short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) and Conniston (heavier textured weave). Teddy bouclé designs also offer a Teddy fabric option. All upholstered by hand with no stitching visible on the fabric.
