High Headboard Beds

A high headboard changes the proportions of a bedroom. Where a standard headboard stops just above the pillows, ours rise 50 to 54 inches from the floor — and our floor-to-ceiling panel designs go further still, framing the bed the way a feature wall would.

How tall should a headboard be?

As a rule of thumb, a 50" headboard suits rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings and reads as tall without dominating. A 54" or floor-standing headboard needs a little more wall height and works best on a clear feature wall with nothing hanging above it.
