The Monaco Luxury Gas Lift Ottoman Bed is named for its mechanism: a gas-lift system tuned so the storage base opens almost weightlessly and closes with a soft, damped action. A cleanly styled upholstered headboard sits above full-length storage.

Buy this one if you will use the storage constantly rather than occasionally. The mechanism is rated for everyday lifting, which matters if the cavity holds weekly laundry, children's things or sports kit rather than just seasonal duvets. The damped close is also the feature to look for in a household with children, where a heavy platform dropping shut is a real concern. If you only need seasonal storage, our plainer frames cost less and lift perfectly well.

Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery. Choose Plush (short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) or Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. A lighter or medium-weight mattress keeps the lift at its lightest. See our mattress range.
Storage
