An ottoman bed replaces the wasted space under your mattress with a full-length storage compartment that lifts on gas pistons. Every frame in this collection is built to order at Smithies Mill in Batley, West Yorkshire, on a solid timber frame with deep-padded upholstery and a slatted platform that takes any standard UK mattress. All upholstery is done by hand, with no visible stitching anywhere on the bed upholstery on our plain-panel designs.

Which ottoman bed is right for you?

Small bedrooms - a side-lift or full-lift ottoman removes the need for a chest of drawers entirely.
Statement rooms - our 50" and 54" high-headboard designs give a hotel-suite look against the wall.
Traditional interiors - Chesterfield and deep-buttoned headboards suit period and classic rooms.
Modern interiors - clean-lined panel and slim-profile frames keep the room feeling light.

Prices start at £269.99 for a single. The price shown on each product is the single (3ft) price; sizing up adds a fixed amount across the whole range:

Single (90 x 190cm) - base price, from £269.99
Small Double (120 x 190cm) - add £69.99, from £339.98
Double (135 x 190cm) - add £69.99, from £339.98
King (150 x 200cm) - add £89.99, from £359.98
Super King (180 x 200cm) - add £139.99, from £409.98

Small double and double carry the same uplift, so they cost the same - choose the double unless your room cannot take the extra 15cm of width.

Fabric choices

Every frame is available in three fabrics: Plush, a soft short-pile velvet; Naple, a flatter woven finish; and Conniston, a heavier textured weave. Our teddy bouclé designs add a fourth Teddy fabric option.
