The Chic Ambassador Ottoman Bed is a handmade upholstered storage bed frame with a refined padded headboard and considered proportions - the design-led piece of our range. The entire base opens on gas pistons for full-footprint storage.
Who it suits
This is the frame to choose when the bedroom is a styling decision rather than a practical one. The proportions are tighter and more deliberate than our large statement headboards, so it works in rooms where a 54-inch panel would overwhelm but a plain frame would underwhelm. At this price you are paying for the tailoring and fabric quality, not for extra storage - the cavity is the same as our entry-level ottomans, so if storage volume is your only concern, spend less elsewhere in the range.

Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery - on a design-led frame that is the detail that separates it from mass-produced upholstery, where seams run visibly across the panels. Choose Plush (short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) or Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. See our mattress range.
Storage
The base opens as one piece, so the cavity is uninterrupted and long items fit whole rather than being split between drawers.
Assembly
Arrives flat-packed. One to two hours with two people; two are needed for the gas struts. See the assembly guide.
