King Size Ottoman Beds

A king size ottoman bed measures 150 x 200cm (5ft x 6ft6) and lifts on gas struts to reveal full-length storage underneath. Every frame here is handmade to order in our Yorkshire workshop, upholstered by hand in your choice of Plush, Naple or Conniston fabric, with no visible stitching anywhere on the bed upholstery.

How much does a king size ottoman bed cost?

King size adds £89.99 to the single-size price of any frame in our range. Our king ottoman beds start at £359.98 and run to around £739.98 for the largest statement designs. For comparison across the range: small double and double both add £69.99 to the single price, and super king adds £139.99.

Is a king size ottoman bed right for your room?

A king frame with the headboard fitted occupies roughly 155cm across and 210-215cm front to back, depending on the design. Allow 60cm of walking space on at least one long side, and check the ceiling height if you are drawn to one of our taller headboards. End-lift models need clear floor space at the foot of the bed equal to about half the bed length; side-lift models need it along one edge instead. If your room is tight at the foot, choose side-lift.

How much storage do you get?

King size gives you the second-largest ottoman cavity we make - the full footprint of the bed, uninterrupted by drawer dividers. That is where an ottoman pulls ahead of a divan: a divan splits the same area into two or four boxes, so long items like spare duvets, suitcases and Christmas trees fit an ottoman but not a drawer.

Fabric choices

All king ottoman frames come in three fabrics: Plush, a soft short-pile velvet that catches the light; Naple, a flatter woven finish; and Conniston, a heavier textured weave. Our teddy bouclé designs add a fourth Teddy fabric option. Upholstery is done by hand throughout, with no stitching visible on the fabric.

King or super king?

A king gives each of two sleepers 75cm of width - a little under a single bed each. A super king gives 90cm each but needs 180cm of wall and a room of roughly 3.4 x 3.7m to work comfortably, and costs £50 more than king. If your room is under about 3m wide, king is the better decision.
