Single Ottoman Beds

A single ottoman bed measures 90 x 190cm (3ft x 6ft3) and lifts on gas struts to give you storage across the whole footprint of the bed. Each frame is handmade to order in our Yorkshire workshop and upholstered by hand in Plush, Naple or Conniston fabric, with no visible stitching anywhere on the bed upholstery.

How much does a single ottoman bed cost?

Single is our base size, so it is the lowest price for every frame in the range - our single ottoman beds start at £269.99. Stepping up costs £69.99 to small double or double, £89.99 to king, and £139.99 to super king.

Where a single ottoman earns its place

Single rooms are usually the smallest in the house, which makes them the rooms that benefit most from under-bed storage. A single ottoman holds roughly 430-510 litres depending on frame depth - enough to absorb out-of-season clothes, bedding and the things that would otherwise need a chest of drawers you have no room for. In a child's room or a home office that doubles as a guest room, that recovered space is the whole point.

Room size and clearance

Allow around 95cm of wall width with the headboard fitted and 200-205cm front to back. Because single rooms are often narrow, check which way the platform opens: a side-lift model needs clear floor along one long edge, while an end-lift needs roughly a metre of clearance at the foot. In a narrow room, end-lift is usually the easier fit.

Single or small double?

If the sleeper is a child, a single is the sensible choice and will last them into their teens. If they are an adult, or a teenager who is still growing, a small double at 120cm adds real comfort for £69.99 and only 30cm more wall width - worth measuring for before you decide.

Available in Plush (soft short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) and Conniston (heavier textured weave), with a Teddy fabric option on our teddy bouclé designs. All hand-upholstered with no stitching visible on the fabric.
