The Royal Crest Bed uses vertical channel tufting to draw the eye upward - deep, evenly spaced channels running the full height of an extra-tall headboard, creating texture and shadow without pattern or shine. Side rails and footboard are fully upholstered to match.
Who it suits
The quieter of our two statement headboards, and the one for a calm contemporary bedroom. Channel tufting gives you texture without pattern, so it adds interest to a neutral scheme without competing with anything else in the room. If you prefer geometric division to vertical lines, compare the Skyline Bed at the same sort of height. Worth knowing: channel recesses collect dust, so they want an occasional vacuum with a brush attachment, and this frame has no under-bed storage.

Fabric and upholstery
Hand-upholstered in your choice of Plush (short-pile velvet, which shows the channels most strongly because the pile catches light differently down each one), Naple (flatter woven finish) or Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. Pair it with a UK-made mattress to complete the set.
Storage
This frame has no under-bed storage. If you need it, our ottoman beds lift the whole platform to give you the full footprint of the bed.
Assembly
Delivered flat-packed for home assembly. Two people recommended given the headboard height.
