The D'Amicow Luxury UK Divan Bed Base with Drawer Storage is a handmade upholstered divan base with a 24-inch padded headboard in plush velvet and built-in drawer storage, made to order in West Yorkshire.
Who it suits
Sold and described as a base first, which makes it the clearest choice if you are replacing a base and keeping your existing mattress. A divan base gives you a low, solid platform with no under-bed gap to collect dust, and drawers that open without lifting the mattress. If you need to store long items - a suitcase, a spare duvet - drawers will not take them and an ottoman bed is the better answer.

Our five divans share the same 24-inch headboard height, solid timber construction and drawer options, so you are choosing on the headboard design in the photographs. Arvell and Caruo are the lowest-priced; Cianoi and Bellun let you specify left or right two-drawer configuration.

Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery - on a divan base, which is one large uninterrupted surface, a visible seam would be the first thing you noticed. Choose Plush (short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) or Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size, so your existing mattress will fit provided it is a standard size. A mattress is not included. See our mattress range if you are replacing both.
Storage
