The Solara Lift-Up Ottoman Divan Bed pairs a clean divan base with an upholstered headboard and a gas-lift storage compartment underneath. It is a divan silhouette with ottoman storage - so you get the tidy, upholstered base look without giving up the full-footprint cavity.
Who it suits
Pick this one if you like how a divan sits in a room - low, solid, no legs or gaps - but you want ottoman storage rather than drawers. It suits contemporary bedrooms and works particularly well where the bed sits against a wall on three sides, since there is no under-bed gap collecting dust. Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery - which matters more on a divan base than almost anywhere else, because the base is one large uninterrupted surface. Choose Plush (short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) or Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. Mattress upgrades are available in memory foam, orthopaedic, pocket sprung and hybrid - see our mattress range.
Storage
Choose side-lift if the foot of the bed sits close to a wall, or end-lift if you have clear floor space there. Either way the platform lifts as one piece, so the cavity stays uninterrupted. Read side-lift vs end-lift.
Assembly
Arrives flat-packed for home assembly. One to two hours with two people; two are needed to fit the gas struts safely.
