Serena Bouclé Upholstered Bed
The Serena Bouclé Upholstered Bed is a handmade upholstered bed frame wrapped in premium teddy bouclé, with a generously padded headboard and clean refined lines. A gas-lift ottoman storage version is available.
Who it suits
Serena and the Saffron Bliss are our two bouclé frames at the same price, and they take a similar restrained approach - so compare the headboard shapes in the photographs rather than expecting a difference in construction or storage, which are the same. Choose either if you want bouclé's warmth and texture in a shape that will not dominate the room. Bouclé hides marks better than velvet, though as a looped weave it is less suited to homes with cats that scratch fabric.

Mattress platform sizes are standard UK:
- Single - 90cm wide x 190cm long (3ft x 6ft3)

- Double - 135cm wide x 190cm long (4ft6 x 6ft3)
- King - 150cm wide x 200cm long (5ft x 6ft6)
- Super King - 180cm wide x 200cm long (6ft x 6ft6)

Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery. Available in Teddy bouclé as shown, plus Plush (short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) and Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
The slatted base takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. See our mattress range.
Storage
The standard frame has no under-bed storage. The gas-lift ottoman version lifts the whole platform for storage across the full footprint, with the siderail deepening from 10 to 12 inches to house the mechanism. If storage is the priority, start with our storage beds.
Assembly
Arrives flat-packed with instructions. One to two hours with two people; the gas-lift version needs two to fit the struts safely.
