The Majestic Velvet Ottoman Bed leans fully into its fabric - dense plush velvet with a deep, saturated finish that makes colour the centrepiece of the room. A generously padded statement headboard sits above a full-length gas-lift storage base.
Who it suits
Buy this one for the colour. Dense velvet holds saturated tones better than flatter weaves, so jewel shades read as rich rather than washed out - which is the whole reason to choose it over our Naple or Conniston finishes. Worth knowing before you commit: velvet pile shows pressure marks and needs vacuuming with the pile to keep its nap even, and a strong colour is harder to redecorate around later than a neutral. If you want texture instead of sheen, our bouclé collection is the alternative.

Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery - on velvet that matters more than on any other fabric, because pile catches light differently either side of a seam and makes it obvious. Plush is the velvet shown here; Naple (flatter woven finish) and Conniston (heavier textured weave) are also available.
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. See our mattress range.
Storage
The velvet-wrapped platform lifts as one piece over an uninterrupted cavity, so long items fit whole rather than being split between drawers.
Assembly
Arrives flat-packed. One to two hours with two people; two are needed for the gas struts. See the assembly guide.
