The Crown Supreme Ottoman Storage Bed is a handmade upholstered ottoman bed built around a reinforced base and platform, designed to take heavier storage loads and nightly use. A substantial padded headboard sits above full-length gas-lift storage.
Who it suits
This is the frame for heavy packers. If you intend to fill the cavity with books, tools, boxed kit or anything else genuinely weighty rather than just duvets and pillows, the reinforced base is the reason to choose this over a lighter frame at a similar price. It also suits heavier sleepers and households where the bed gets daily hard use. If you only plan to store bedding, you do not need the reinforcement and can spend less elsewhere in the range.

Mattress platform sizes are standard UK:
- Single - 90cm wide x 190cm long (3ft x 6ft3)
- Small Double - 120cm wide x 190cm long (4ft x 6ft3)
- Double - 135cm wide x 190cm long (4ft6 x 6ft3)
- King - 150cm wide x 200cm long (5ft x 6ft6)
- Super King - 180cm wide x 200cm long (6ft x 6ft6)

Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery. Choose Plush (short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) or Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. Because the base is reinforced, heavier mattresses are less of a concern here than on a standard frame - though a heavy mattress still makes the platform harder to raise. See our mattress range.
Storage
The platform lifts as one piece over an uninterrupted cavity. Load heavier items toward the hinge side so the gas struts stay easy to operate, and read how ottoman weight limits work before filling it.
Assembly
Arrives flat-packed. One to two hours with two people; two are needed for the gas struts. See the assembly guide.
