The Chesterfield TV Bed is the full expression of the classic style - deep-buttoned plush velvet across the headboard, hand-set in the traditional diamond pattern, paired with an electric television that rises from the footboard and disappears when the film ends.
Who it suits
The traditional option in our TV bed range, and the same mechanism as the contemporary Luxury Panel TV Bed at the same price - so the decision is purely styling. Choose this if you want period character; choose the panel if you want clean lines. Two practical notes: measure your television against the lift housing specification before ordering, and remember buttoned velvet collects dust in the recesses.

Fabric and upholstery
Hand-upholstered and hand-buttoned in your choice of Plush (short-pile velvet, which shows the buttoning most strongly because the pile catches light in the folds), Naple (flatter woven finish) or Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
Takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. Mattress depth matters more here than on an ordinary frame - a very deep mattress can sit above the footboard line and interrupt the screen. See our mattress range.
Storage
Storage is built into the frame around the lift housing, so capacity is smaller than a full ottoman bed because the mechanism occupies part of the base.
Assembly
Made to order and delivered flat-packed. The lift mechanism needs careful assembly with two people and a mains socket within reach of the footboard.
