The Aurora Teddy Bouclé Ottoman Bed is a handmade storage bed frame upholstered in teddy bouclé - a looped, matt, deeply textured fabric that reads as cosy rather than glossy. A generously padded headboard sits above a full gas-lift storage compartment.
Who it suits
Choose teddy bouclé over velvet if you want warmth and texture instead of sheen. Bouclé hides marks and handprints better than a short-pile velvet, and it suits neutral, layered bedrooms where a glossy finish would look out of place. The padded headboard is deep enough to lean against comfortably for reading. Worth knowing: bouclé is a looped weave, so it is less suited to households with cats that scratch fabric - a dense Plush velvet stands up better there.

Fabric and upholstery
Upholstered by hand and finished so that no stitching is visible anywhere on the bed upholstery - which is what keeps the looped bouclé texture reading as one continuous surface. This design is available in Teddy bouclé as shown, and also in Plush (short-pile velvet), Naple (flatter woven finish) and Conniston (heavier textured weave).
Mattress compatibility
The slatted platform takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A mattress is not included. See our mattress range.
Storage

Assembly
Arrives flat-packed. One to two hours with two people; two are needed for the gas struts.
